Summer Reading Program is winding down, but there’s still time left! Personally, I would like to get at least one more book completed and I still have three branches left to visit this summer before it’s done!
Last Friday, I joined the crew from Saddlebrook Branch for Out & About Storytime at the Village Pointe Scheels. Kids and parents gathered closely together in the middle aisle to listen to Miss Nancy read. After the stories were through, each participant received a “Find It Jar” courtesy of Scheels. The jar was filled with rice that had different treasures buried in it. The kids had a list of what to look for and could check the items off the list as they found each thing. This was a great activity to pass the time while waiting to ride on the Ferris wheel. Special thanks to Scheels for being such amazing hosts. I included some pictures below and you are welcome to view the rest on OPL‘s Flickr site. There’s only one more Out & About storytime left. Join us with your real or stuffed puppy this Friday, July 26, 10:30 a.m., at Hefflinger Park dog park!
