Every other week we share what our patrons are reading with the Omaha World-Herald. This week, Benson Branch patron Mary Smith shares five of her favorite reads:
“Even Now” by Karen Kingsbury. This is a story of love and trials and how people worked through their problems.
Abram’s Daughters series by Beverly Lewis. (Includes “The Covenant,” “The Betrayal,” “The Sacrifice,” “The Prodigal” and “The Revelation.”) This series shares stories about a family of daughters and follows their lives as they age into adults.
“Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott. This has always been one of my favorites! This is the story of a single mother raising four daughters to be good people and citizens.
“All-of-a-Kind Family” by Sydney Taylor. This is the story of a Jewish family. It explains holiday customs and shares a story of love and hardship.
Seasons of Grace series by Beverly Lewis. (Includes “The Secret,” “The Missing” and “The Telling.”) This is the story of how a family works through hardships and the outcome of those experiences.
