Take a Page – Vincenzo Stanco

Vincenzo Stanco

Every other week we share what our patrons are reading with the Omaha World-Herald. This week, Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch patron Vincenzo Stanco shares five of his favorite reads:

  1. The Black Swan” by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. This book is smart and makes one very aware of what goes on around us and the significance of events.
  2. “The Fist of God” by Frederick Forsyth. This is a well-written work of fiction expanding on the Gulf War.
  3. The Iliad” by Homer. This book brings back great memories of my life as a student and I enjoying re-reading a great classic.
  4. Chariots of the Gods?” by Erich von Däniken. I loved this book as a kid. It makes one reason a little more and come-up with, perhaps, different conclusions about our origins.
  5. My Lucky Day” by Keiko Kasza. My youngest son loves this book!
