Take A Page – Lisa Frank

Every other week, we share what our patrons are reading with the Omaha World-Herald.

This week, Lisa Frank, a substitute teacher and patron of the Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch shared her five favorite fiction books.

1. Anything by James Patterson. “I just finished reading “The Christmas Wedding” and really enjoyed it. His books are so fast-paced and real page-turners.”

2. “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini. “This book is by the same author as “The Kite Runner” – another good one. The author really shows the power of strong women bonding together.”

3. Janet Evanovich is another favorite author. “I love her Stephanie Plum series. They are so ridiculously crazy – you can’t help but laugh.”

4. “The Help” by Katheryn Stockett. “This was a very good read showing an interesting piece of history. The book was much better than the movie!”

5. “The Story” by Zondervan Books. “It is a simplified narrative retelling the Bible. It contains text from the NIV version of the Bible, as well as sections of narrative to clarify historically significant events.”
